The Communist Organization of Greece declares its unconditional solidarity with the open-ended hunger strike of the Palestinian Prisoners in the Zionist dungeons. We join our voices with those of the peoples of Palestine and of the whole world, demanding an end to the inhuman isolation of Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, General Secretary of the PFLP, and of all the Palestinian Political Prisoners, as well as the respect of the most basic rights of them and of their families.The Zionist entity has proved that it does not respect any international or humanitarian law. From the occupation of the Palestinian lands and the murderous campaigns repeatedly unleashed against the Palestinian masses, to the “administrative detention” of thousands of sons and daughters of Palestine, accompanied by solitary confinement and tortures, the Zionist entity has become the global champion of barbarity and injustice.
The above constitute a further motivation to intensify our solidarity. Especially now, with the Papandreou puppet government aligning itself with the criminal Zionist regime against the very interests of Greece and the pro-Palestinian sentiments of the Greek people, we call upon the progressive masses and the solidarity movements to express by all means their support to the heroic struggle of the Palestinian Political Prisoners.
From the Arab World to the European South, the Mediterranean peoples are pursuing, despite local particularities, common aspirations: Freedom – Independence – Democracy – Emancipation. Our solidarity with the hunger strike of the Palestinian Political Prisoners adds another brick to the construction of our peoples’ cooperation against our common enemies, who prepare new holocausts. All together, we shall win!
